Capone and his criminal organization rose to power during the Prohibition Era in the U.S. His main crimes were murder and bootlegging, which Capone made a fortune from. He had a criminal empire with operations in many states. Capone dealt with anyone that was a threat to him, including rival gang members or any of his men that were suspected of disloyalty. Also, he paid off police and judges, corrupted law makers, and threatened jury members.

Capone had a series and his own personal assassins and gunmen.

Capone's mobster career ended in 1931, when he was indicted and convicted by the federal government. He was sent to a series of prisons including Alcatraz, which was the longest and most famous of his sentences.
